If you are looking for a version of Encheirdion with detailed commentaries on each and every chapter, if you are looking for a primer on Stoic ethics, if you are looking for a book that will explain Stoic paradoxes, and if you are looking for critical responses to criticisms, you will be hard put to find any other book that comes close to this one.
Stoic Ethics by Christopher Gill and Brittany Polat is a welcome addition to the modern Stoic library.
Beyond Stoicism by Pigliucci, Lopez, and Kunz is an excellent exploration of ancient Greek (and Roman) philosophies. This well-written, wide-ranging, and engaging book can benefit practitioners of any philosophy, not just Stoicism. Highly recommended.
Whether you're just starting out or deep into your Stoic practice, this book will help you live differently–not just think differently.
