Grand buffet vs. the Chef designed meal

What is the difference between what is already available and Prokopton

THE STOIC journal and TheStoicGym.com put on for you a grand buffet, a Stoic feast. But many of us may also want a meal specially designed by a chef, with the best items chosen, served in a logical order. Prokopton is specifically geared towards this need. It aims to guide you in your practice every step of the way, every day – a Stoic coach as it were.

Prokopton is a monthly magazine for those who want to practice Stoicism systematically, from first principles. It is for those who have a commitment to live a Stoic life, to those who want to practice Stoicism seriously, rather than casually, and to those who want to put their Stoic foot forward, perhaps starting in the New Year.

The Prokopton package

In fact, Prokopton is much more than a monthly magazine. A subscription to Prokopton is a subscription to a program; it is total immersion. This is what you will get:

1. Prokopton daily (every day)

Starting January 1, 2024, you will get an email every day to motivate you to stay on the Stoic path. Each daily email will contain a different Stoic thought, with brief commentary, and suggestions for putting it into practice during the day.

2. Prokopton journal (monthly)

Prokopton will contain in-depth articles on

3. Free Stoic books and reading materials

You will also get full-length books, additional reading material, and audio recordings, as needed, every quarter. These are free of charge to our subscribers.

In short, this is what you will get when you join the Prokopton community:

Daily: Stoic thoughts & practice guide

Occasionally: Prokopton newsletters

Monthly: Prokopton monthly & THE STOIC

Quarterly: Free audio recordings, full length books, or reading materials.
